AskChamber
A directory that connects people with trusted local businesses, and gives owners a place to keep their listing right. I designed it in Figma and coded the front end.

Find a pro
One search, what and where.
The homepage leads with a single question: what service do you need, and where. Popular services sit right below as photo tiles for people who would rather browse.

Browse
Pictures first, lists second.
People who are not sure what to search for can browse instead: service categories as photo tiles, and city pages that group local businesses into things to taste, do, shop and stay.

Compare
A list, a map and the full story.
Results sit beside a map, each with its address, phone, a Request a Quote button and its count of Bright Spots. Opening one shows the full profile: photos, highlights, hours on a map, services and payment options.

For businesses
Owners keep it current.
Business owners get their own settings: the company profile with logo, cover photo and categories, a service area picked by state and county, and plans to grow the listing, from site management to advertising, priced by the day.

Principles
Three rules behind every screen.
- 01
Search is always there
The service and location search sits in the header of every page, so a new search is never more than one step away.
- 02
Trust at a glance
Every listing shows its Bright Spots, and profiles show what is verified, so people can compare before they call.
- 03
Easy to correct
Every profile has a Suggest an Edit link, and owners can claim a business and track their changes.
My role
Designed it, then built it.
Design
The consumer pages, business profiles and owner settings in Figma, all on the AskChamber UI style guide I made for the product.
Front end
I coded the screens myself. Building on one style guide kept the buttons, fields and cards the same on every page.
Let’s talk
I’d love to tell you more on a call.
There’s more to this project than fits on one page. If you’re interested, I’m happy to walk you through the decisions, the trade-offs and what I’d do next.
